]]>My name is Angel and as we can see I’m giving my opinion of why I should become the gold medalist. You see, I don’t really want the prize, I just want to tell people what I do. I’m a freshman a.k.a. fish, and I have been recomended for this program called AVID, a program, where the children are only accepted if they think you have the drive. Which apparently, I have been chosen. This program is made for students to be pushed harder, to accelerate in their studies, and to provide support through the whole program. Once you’re in you cannot leave. You have to do this for four years and the teachers will do everything in their power to get you to recieve A’s and B’s or higher. The teacher will never give up on his/her students. Because we are their children. We are their children.
Another program I am in is AFJROTC(air force junior recruting officer training course).
We are taught discipline, respect, responsibility, leaderhship and survival skills, and last fitness and citizenship.
I am proud to have been given the chance to join these programs, and I am very glad and greatful that I did.
When I am at home, my sister and I clean the kitchen on different days everyother day. When it’s not one of our turns to clan the kitchen, we are doing the other parts of the house that are ours. Every other Sunday we clean our Grandparents’ house. I said I didn’t want to get paid for it but they kept insisting. I occasionaly go around helping people with their problems, mostly emotionally, but whatever I can do to help makes me a little happier.
I love nature and spend some of my lunch periods picking up trash outside. I love sitting outside where there are trees, animals, and plants. And I hate that we’re killing the world and everything in it.
I have also graduated from D.A.R.E. and G.R.E.A.T.
And I am taking a Pre-AP course in which I have never done before. It’s actually not that hard. I love going to school, now tha I have goal. I am planning to be a lawyer.
